Ward vs. Kovalev II Recap

Andre Ward’s rematch with Sergey Kovalev resulted in a strange ending.  The fight was competitive through seven rounds.

Although the HBO broadcast team of Jim Lampley, Roy Jones and Max Kellerman did their best to convince us that Ward was ahead, I was more inline with Harold Lederman in having Kovalev ahead 5 rounds to 2.  Ward however was certainly having his moments.

Ward had been warned by referee Tony Weeks for a low blow.  In the eighth round, Ward was clearly coming on.  Kovelev appeared to be bothered by the low blow.  More borderline body punches came his way.

He was clearly fatigued, uncomfortable and looking for a breather.  The American landed a right hand to the head that had Kovalev hurt.

He then turned the pressure on landing continuously to the body.  Some shots were borderline; some including the last shot were clearly low.

The Russian sat back into the ropes after the final low blow; it looked like his version of taking a knee and granting Ward a knockdown or just reacting to a low blow.  However, Tony Weeks stepped in and stopped it giving Ward a TKO victory.

I have always liked Weeks as a ref.  He lets guys fight on the inside unlike Mayweather alter boy Kenny Bayless.

But Saturday was a bad night for him.  He should have seen that the final punch from Ward was low and given Kovalev time to recover; Ward should have also been docked a point.

Even if Weeks couldn’t see the low blow, it should have been ruled a knockdown when Kovalev sat back into the ropes.  There should have been a 10-count.

It’s a shame because it leaves ambiguity on another Ward victory.  Ward may very well have been on his way to stopping the Russian legitimately.  Let him!

After what happened in the first fight, boxing needed a clear winner here.  But one thing is crystal clear.  ANDRE WARD IS A WINNER!

Say what you will about his likeability factor or what questionable situations have gone his way.  That happened for Sugar Ray Leonard more than once too.

But just like his fellow gold medalist, Ward seized the opportunity.  I think Ward’s deep faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which he points to regularly has given him a steel will and unbreakable belief in himself.  He has been through 20 hellacious rounds with a devastating puncher and came out the other side the victor.

A rematch could certainly be justified, but don’t hold your breath.  Ward now has two victories over Kovalev regardless of what anyone feels about them.  He can look to unify the light heavyweight title if Adonis Stevenson is willing, or move up and grab a cruiserweight belt.

As for Kovalev, it’s simple.  Get back into the knockout business.  Maybe this loss will give Stevenson the will to fight him after running away from him to Showtime a few years back.

However, at age 34 the clock is ticking on the Russian badass.  If Kovalev is drug-free (no guarantee with ANY athlete today) he doesn’t have many years left of his prime, though his power will keep him relevant past it.

Sometimes in life things just go right for winners.  But winners also will things to go right for them.  Talk soon.

Russia: The Left’s Boogie Man

I remember growing up as a kid in the last dozen or so years of the Cold War when the left seemed to sympathize with the Soviet Union.  They would question why we needed so many nuclear arms; we heard how terrible and scary it was that President Regan was putting arms in Space.

Television would paint Soviet civilians as sympathetic figures who were victims of bigotry from flag-waiving Americans.  The message was that the Soviet people were no different than the Keatons on Family Ties.

Eventually Regan’s ideology of peace through strength paid off.  The Berlin Wall and Eastern European communism fell.  St. John Paul II was also instrumental with his unapologetic exposition of communism as a Godless evil (as opposed to the current fraud in the Vatican).

Russia today, while far from perfect is a free market and Christianity is growing at a rapid pace.  But the left now sticks to the narrative which paints Russia as our greatest threat.  No, it’s not radical Islam, not North Korea, not Iran, not Saudi Arabia (who funded 9/11/01).  It’s Russia!

They are running with the lie that Russia “hacked the election”.  I am not saying that they did not want President Donald Trump to win; I think they did.  Vladimir Putin is a shrewd guy.

He doesn’t want war with the United States.  But, he was continuously being provoked by the beta males and twisted sisters during Iatola Barry’s second term.  This sparked Putin’s ego to flex his muscles (sometimes literally while riding horses).

I think he views Trump as a guy he can have a peaceful rapport with.  But the left cannot accept Crooked Hillary Clinton’s (who sold uranium to Russia BTW) defeat, so they de-legitimize Trump by pushing the idea that he and those around him colluded with the Russians.

If anyone has ever spoken to a Russian, they are treasonists (soon they will convince South Boston that Russia was in on the Babe Ruth trade).  As far as I ever knew, people in high places of major world powers do speak to one another.

If we are to believe the possibility that Russia hacked the DNC leading to the exposition of undisputed truths, does that qualify as “hacking the election”?  No.

Unless Russian operatives rigged the voting booths, Russia did not effect the voting.  I suspect illegal voters had a much greater role giving the popular vote to Crooked Hillary.

Even if Putin had openly campaigned for Trump, would that be any different than the Iatola from Honolulu and John Kerry openly campaigning against Bebe Netanyahu?  I am not saying Putin is to be completely trusted.  He is former KGB.

However, we have a common enemy in ISIS.  As Michael Savage (http://www.michaelsavage.wnd.com) points out in his recent books, it makes sense to have a civil relationship with Russia.  However, the left knows that the majority of the uninformed public who is caught up in pedicures and fantasy football does not really differentiate today’s Russia from the former Soviet Union.

These dips***s still associate Russia with Ivan Drago and sending innocent people to Siberia.  So it’s easy to push the lie that “Russia hacked the election”.

We saw another senatorial dog and pony show this week when former FBI Director James Comey testified.  He confirmed that Trump did NOT obstruct justice.  He also confirmed my suspicion from a prior article, that yes, he is a p***y.

In addition, he implicated himself as a felonious leaker of classified information and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch as a true justice obstructionist.  She pushed this coward to call the Clinton email investigation a “matter” so as to not interfere with her Arizona tarmac buddy’s wife taking her rightful place in the Oval Office.

The witch-hunt will continue when current Attorney General Jeff Sessions goes before the senate to address his supposed ties to Russia.  BTW-Mr. Sessions seems to have an awful lot of powerful felons on the left to investigate and indict.

But he seems too busy recusing himself and testifying to live up to his hard-ass reputation.  I don’t recall this type of passive behavior from Obama’s first DOJ henchman, Eric Holder!

So, why has the left found such distain for Russia/Putin as opposed to the former Soviets for who they had so much empathy?

1-Russia is white and not in line with their globalist agenda.  Putin, like Trump (but in a more cartoonish way) is also unapologetically masculine.  This is a big no-no for white men as far as the left is concerned.  Strike 1!

2-Russia is no longer the communist stronghold that the left thirsts to be.  Strike 2!

3-Growing Christianity.  The Satanic left wants God removed from society.  Possibly the most Godless civilized nation in history is no longer in line with this.  Putin also supports the traditional family.  Strike 3!

Is it not logical to wipe ISIS out side-by-side with Russia?  Not to the death cult they call the Democratic Party which quietly enjoys seeing Christians and Jews slaughtered, and not to the Republican establishment who doesn’t want to leave the money generated by more ground wars with dictators who pose no threat to us on the table.

So, the satanic left will keep telling us about this Russian boogie man until the sheep accept it.  Don’t buy into it.  Talk soon.

Sacrament Over Sacrifice During Lent

Lent is upon us and I hear people talking about avoiding meat and what they are giving up.  These are nice gestures, but they seem to often be more about habit and ritual than honoring Jesus and the ultimate sacrifice He made for us.

Lent honors our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s 40 days of fasting in the desert which culminated in a mini showdown between He and Satan.  The Father allowed Jesus to be tempted by Satan.  But Jesus faced and defeated these temptations temporarily sending the devil packing.

Jesus went on with his ministry which he knew full well was a 3 year march to the cross to suffer and die, then rise gaining victory over evil.  This allows us the opportunity at eternal life in Heaven despite our sins.

The father gave Jesus the same free will He gives us.  Jesus could have called it off at anytime.

But He loves us so much that He willingly dropped every bit of his blood and bodily water defeating Satan on our behalf.  Good Friday represents Christ’s torturous crucifixion.  Easter Sunday represents His glorious Resurrection (it is actually the start of a season from the Resurrection to Pentecost).

So, do you think having a tuna sub every Friday and giving up cookies for 40 days is enough to honor that?  We can’t match His sacrifice, but I have a better idea.

Go to confession, and start going to Mass every Sunday.  If you are not Catholic, repent in your own way and start going to church every Sunday.

Here come the excuses and rationalizations attempting to justify the laziness and neglect (I used to make them too).  I will address some of the most common ones.

1-“God is everywhere, so why do I have to go to church to speak with Him?”  True!  God IS everywhere.  His 4th Commandment tells us to keep holy the Sabbath.  It’s a commandment, not a suggestion.

Jesus says if we do not eat His flesh and drink His blood we do not have life in us.  You cannot order up the Eucharist at your local drive-through.

2-“The pedophilia and sex scandals turn me off.”  They Should!  I hate that I have been put on the defensive as a Catholic.  These wolves in sheep’s clothing should spend the rest of their lives in a cell.

If someone was a direct or indirect victim of this, I could understand this rationale.  However, the majority of lax-Christians were not victims and the majority of priests, preachers and rabbis (no, not only the Catholic Church has had this problem) did not partake in this even though the Satanic media would love for you to believe otherwise.

Aside from that, why would you let these scumbags drive you out of God’s House?  That’s an awful lot of power to give to some deranged perverts.  The only thing you are doing is allowing Satan to drive you further from God.

The truth is if you really look inward, this is just and excuse to justify laziness.  Do you refuse to watch a Woody Allen movie?  Do you change the radio station every single time a Michael Jackson song comes on?  Do you refuse to watch a Penn State game even if they are playing your team?

3-“I just don’t have time to get to church.”  If you are a cop or nurse working a weekend shift that goes from Saturday night through Sunday you are absolved.

If on the other hand you have time to go out, shop, attend sporting events, etc., you have time to give the Lord and hour.

4-“I just don’t get much out of it and I find it boring.”  The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Yes, Mass can get boring at times.  I don’t think Jesus was having a blast carrying that big heavy cross up the hill all beaten and dehydrated before being nailed to it.  But He did it anyway.

So, when Mass gets boring just take some solace in the fact that you are making Jesus happy.  He does everything for us.  We can’t grin and bare an hour?

The Mass is Jesus banquet that he invites us to every week.  Let me give you a hypothetical.

Let’s say you saved a friend’s life, then invited him over for dinner every weekend.  In response, that friend had an excuse every single week for blowing off your invitation.  Would you not get a bit insulted?

Then why would you want to disrespect your Savior with these weak-ass excuses?  So, while it’s nice to avoid ice cream for 40 days, you and Jesus will get a lot more satisfaction from a weekly visit.  Talk soon.

The Lie of Abortion: Satan’s Sacrament

How many times have you heard politicians and feminist dingbats talk about “women’s health rights” or “women’s right to choose”?  Right to choose what?  To murder their baby in the womb?

They like to use the word fetus because it makes the butchering sound more benign.  Some women will say “it’s my body and I can do what I want with it.”  Thing is it’s not their body.  It’s someone else’s.

Is it their body parts being sucked into a hose with a sharp cutting edge that dismembers them?  Is it their skull being jammed with a set of scissors?  Is it them being starved to death?  Is it their skin being burned?  No, those are the things that happen to the baby after she and possibly her mate decide to exercise the right to choose.

Some people will claim that they only support early-term abortion; that it’s only a pack of cells at that point.  False!

A child’s heart starts beating 18 days after conception (how many women even know they are pregnant at that point?).  At 6 weeks brain waves can be measured.  At 8 weeks the stomach, liver, kidneys, and brain are functioning; fingerprints have formed.  At 11 weeks the child breathes (fluid), swallows, digests, and has developed all body parts allowing him/her to feel pain (US Dept. of Health and Human Services/Centers for Disease Control).

Most women I know who have had abortions claim that they felt guilt and despair/depression afterwards.  Why is that if it’s just a medical procedure to remove a pack of cells?  Have you ever met anyone who felt guilty for having a cyst or mole removed?  I haven’t.

Satan loves to convince us that we have no other option.  When we do what he wants he has us in his clutches; then he tortures us with guilt and despair.  He also loves to attack the family.  What better way than to convince God’s children that their best choice is to destroy a child in what is supposed to be the safest place on earth (the mother’s womb)?

I seriously do sympathize with anyone experiencing an unwanted pregnancy!  I have never experienced this, but have sweated it out.

Thing is, there is a tough but fair compromise that is hardly talked about anymore, and certainly not pushed by the concentration camp called Planned Parenthood.  There is a high demand for adoption of babies in this country.  There were 1,212,350 abortions in the United States in 2008 (Pro-Life Action League).  Why not put these children up for adoption?

Easy for a man to say right?  I don’t have to carry the child for 9 months, then give him/her up.  Well, what would you rather endure:  discomfort, separation anxiety, and maybe some ridicule or a lifetime of guilt and possible eternity in Hell?

Satanic cults practice orgies and gang bangs (often involving minors) with the goal of impregnating women, then performing brutal late term abortions.  If abortion is not evil, why are occultists so fond of it?

I was once watching a program on EWTN and heard a story of a priest on a plane during Lent.  The stewardess came around taking meal orders, and the priest declined as a Lenten sacrifice.  There was a young woman next to him who also declined.  Pleasantly surprised, the priest asked the woman if she was also fasting for Lent.  The woman replied that she was a witch fasting for more abortions.  Chilling!

Some would ask where the Bible states when life begins.  Fair question.  Jesus was conceived when the Holy Spirit came upon Mary after she accepted Gabriel’s (angel) message from God that she would conceive and bare a Son.

Shortly thereafter, she went to visit her cousin Elizabeth who was 6 months pregnant with John the Baptist.  John the Baptist jumped in his mother’s womb.  Did John the Baptist jump in the presence Jesus or a pack of cells?

I have debated this topic with women who seem to think that the newly developing fetus holds less importance because of his/her size.  Does that mean women hold less importance than men because they are generally smaller?

Some of the crazies who have bought into the lie of abortion are at the same time hypersensitive about animal rights.  They don’t want pitbulls that have maimed humans euthanized.

Let’s say someone left a puppy on my doorstep that I did not want.  Rather than take it to a shelter where it can be adopted, I dismember it and let it bleed to death or sever it’s spinal chord, then toss it in the trash.

You would rightfully say I’m a sick f**k who belongs in prison.  But it’s acceptable to do this to an innocent human being?

The left will grasp at the straws of rape and incest victims.  This is an abominable situation.  Problem is what the abortionists don’t tell you is that only 1% of American abortions are the result of this.  Another 1% are for fetal abnormalities; another 3% result from mothers’ health problems (Alan Guttmacher Institute).  So, 95% of abortions are simply a form of birth control.

Men who go along with abortion have just as much blood on their hands.  How many of us have worried about impregnating the wrong woman and thought if she has an abortion without our knowledge it takes us off the hook?  Wrong!

I have allowed my mind to go there at times and quickly check myself, then get to confession.  That thinking makes us culpable too!

Thankfully I have never been in this situation, but have in the past gone along with and even endorsed these morning after-type pills (which curiously claim not to stop an existing pregnancy).  Despicable!

Thankfully, if you are a woman who has had an abortion, or a man who has endorsed such a thing there is no sin greater than God’s mercy!  Repent, find a solid priest, make a good confession, and then be done with it.  Talk soon.

PS:  Special thanks to Vice President Mike Pence who’s presence at the March for Life yesterday forced the media to actually acknowledge it for a change.  They don’t find it as interesting as those c***s who acted like savages the weekend of the inauguration, but it’s a start.

 

‘Tis the Season to Stand Up for Your Faith

Invites have gone out for office “holiday” parties.  Cashiers are wishing customers a happy “holiday”.  Commercials advertise “holiday” sales.

What holiday is it?  4th of July?  Columbus Day?  Festivus?  St. Frosty Solstis Rudolph Day?

Oh!  It’s Christmas?  That’s right, Christmas-the worst kept secret in America.

Why has Christmas become such a taboo word?  It’s because the media and advertisers are a bunch of Godless ACLU panderers who have bought into the idea that the word is somehow offensive.

When they have to they will say the word, but by watching television or walking around the mall you would think Christmas was a celebration of snow, wrapping paper, eggnog, and gluttony.

Christmas gained it’s original traction due to what it really stands for:  the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.  Hence the word:  CHRISTmas.

I have heard numerous people over the years complain that the word Christmas has been phased out at this time of year.

So, what can we do about it?  Just as I talked in a prior article about doing our part to make America great again, let’s as Christians do subtle little things.

For starters don’t participate in the secularization of Christmas.  Pull the kids out of communist public school plays and concerts that ignore the true meaning of the season.

How many kids past the age of 5 really want to stand on a stage and pretend to sing Jingle Bell Rock anyway?  If they do, put them in a church event; they are not hard to find.

Don’t participate in office or leisure “holiday” celebrations.  When people ask why you are not coming, have the testicular fortitude to tell them that you simply don’t choose to partake in the secularization of Christmas.

Ask what “holidays” they are celebrating.  Let them know you would gladly come to a Christmas/Hanukkah party.

When a cashier or anyone else wishes you a happy “holiday” just nicely answer back “Merry Christmas” and/or “Happy Hanukkah”.  Throw in a “God Bless”.  Kill their Godlessness with subtle holiness.  Believe me, it makes an impact.

“Eh…eh…but what if people laugh at or ridicule me for this”?  Jesus was stripped to his underwear, beaten to within an inch of his life, then ridiculed, beaten some more and spat upon while dressed in a mock robe and a crown of thorns before dying for us.  We can’t handle a little snicker?

Finally, and this is the part that takes some action on our part:  start practicing your faith!  Pray a little more.  Get to your house of worship at least on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.  If you’re Jewish get to Temple.

“Eh…Eh…between the shopping and all the obligations I have overloaded myself with, I just don’t have the time”.  Oh, you are too busy with overspending and stuffing your face to spend an hour with the Guest of Honor?

How about if we celebrated your birthday every year, but ignored you at the party?  Would you not question who the cake was for?

I can’t tell you how many of those numerous people I have heard annoyed that nobody says “Merry Christmas” but don’t step foot into a church, or even mention Jesus on his birthday.  These people are talkers, not doers.

There is NOTHING wrong with gifts, feasts, and trees with all the trimmings.  In fact, it’s proper as long as it’s done within your means.  We are celebrating a King!

However, I once heard Mother Angelica say on EWTN, “if you are too busy for God, you are too busy”.  She was right.  Talk soon.

Does Trump actually have similarities to Christ?

If you look close, he actually does.  While far from a pious individual, Trump speaks in plain truths that cause division between the people and those in noble places.

At the Father’s will, Jesus began His ministry at a time when those in charge of His House (The Temple) were individuals more concerned with their own agenda than bringing holiness to the people.

They demanded that the people keep with Jewish law.  Some were put to death for breaking these laws.  The high priests and teachers of the law put burdens on the people that they themselves would not and could not bare.

Jesus called out those in noble positions exposing their hypocrisies.  He reached out and connected with His people.  Sound familiar?  This caused stress and jealousy amongst the nobility.

Now, am I comparing the high priests and teachers of the law to the Democrats?  Hardly!  The Democrats are openly and proudly demonic; abortionist children of Satan with a distain for everything patriotic and decent that has made this country strong.

It is actually the Republican establishment who is the wolf in sheep’s clothing.  They are the ones who preach patriotism, traditional family, lower taxes, and Judao-Christian values.  But have they put them into action?  Have they done all they could not to fund parts of Obamacare?  No!  They don’t participate in Obamacare.  That cross is on the people who elected them.

Have they done anything potent to secure the border?  No!  Illegal aliens are not running for office and threatening their jobs.  Not yet anyway…Many Republicans actually make money off of their cheap labor enabled by a porous border.

Trump is the Frankenstein that the Republican establishment created with their impotence and “me first” agenda.  Thing is, he could also be the savior of the party and this country.

But because he embarrassed the establishment in the primary with plain talk to regular people, the Republicans would rather the people continue to be enslaved by the Democrat machine, somewhat like the Jews were to Rome.

The Republican establishment appears to be calling for his crucifixion (in terms of the election) in order to maintain politics as usual.  It’s not all that different from the high priests calling for Christ’s crucifixion after He shook up the establishment.  Talk soon.
